VW 1000 12V 3/8in 3B Chain

The VW100012V114 is a specialized capstan windlass from the VW Series, designed for use with traditional all-chain anchor rodes. Its vertical capstan provides flexibility to handle mooring lines, tow ropes, and other functions, especially where lines approach from various angles. While the windlass can be used with combination rope and chain rodes, manual transfer of the rode from the capstan to the chainwheel is required once the splice is reached. A deck-mounted chain stopper must be used to secure the chain during this transition. This model is not equipped with an integrated rope/chain chainwheel—rope is handled exclusively by the capstan and chain by the chainwheel.
